While their paper products are printed in house, the majority of their product range is hand made in Bali, providing sustainable employment to artisans who are able to earn a living using traditional skills passed down through the generations.
East of India is a small, independent company with a commitment to the environment, shown by their use of sustainably produced timbers and recycled paper and cardboard, their involvement in tree planting projects and their stewardship of ancient woodlands in Kent. Their office and warehouse in the UK has a solar power installation which helps generate over half the electricity they need, saving over 32 tons of CO2 being added to the atmosphere every year.
