Konjac Sponges

Type: Bamboo Charcoal

The Konjac sponge is the perfect way to gently cleanse and exfoliate your skin and stimulate blood flow in a natural way. The sponge is made with Japanese Konjac Potato Fibre, which is vegan, sustainable and compostable! Konjac contains various positive minerals and antioxidant ingredients, rich in vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D, & E), proteins, lipids, fatty acids and natural minerals such as copper, zinc, iron and magnesium.

Cleansing features of Organic Sponge:

In Japan, these sponges have been used for centuries as a beauty tool. They are rich in wonderfully revitalising minerals and are pH neutral, which means they protect your complexion by balancing the acidity of your skin. The sponge is initially hard but softens when soaked in water and then is a very gentle cleanser for the face and body.

The Konjac Sponge is a 100% natural Eco-friendly Facial and body cleansing sponge removes dirt, oil, blackheads and dead skin cells while gently exfoliating the skin. It contains positive minerals and antioxidant ingredients that help nourish and smooth skin naturally. Konjac sponges have a soft texture making them gentle, and safe and will not scratch skin while washing away dirt and oil from skin.

How to Use a Konjac Sponge

Rinse and soak the dry Konjac Sponge with warm water until fully softened and expanded. A wet sponge expands approximately one and half size compared to the dry one. For first time use, the sponge might take up to 3-5 minutes of soaking until it becomes soft.

Soaking it with hot or warm water rather than cold water will help making the texture of the sponge softer. Cleanse your face with water-soaked sponge daily or every other day. Alternatively, combine it with your favourite cleanser to make the sponge even softer and to create a rich lather for an incredibly therapeutic experience.

Gently massage your face with the sponge starting from centre of face and extend outwards in an upward direction. This produces a lifting effect to shape face for a slimmer silhouette and avoid sagging skin. Alternatively, gently massage the face with the sponge in circular motion. Please avoid harsh rubbing on acne area and around eye area.

These sponges should last 3-4 months then just throw it in your compost or garden to break down into the soil.

About Brush It On

Brush it On donate 100% of their profits to conservation projects that protect the world's oceans, forests, and wildlife.

Ocean Preservation

Our oceans need a helping hand! Did you know that plastic rubbish is looking to outweigh fish in our oceans by 2050? Brush It On, in partnership with The Australian Marine Conservation Society, help distribute living plastic-free packs to raise awareness around plastic pollution with a focus on keeping oceans healthy and in their most natural state without pollution putting more pressure on them.

Forest Conservation

Not so fun fact – 4,500 acres of forests are cleared across the planet every hour. Did you know that? Brush It On have partnered with World Land Trust, to support their mission to protect threatened habitats and wildlife that live in these forests. Purchases contribute to the Buy an Acre programme and create permanently protected nature reserves across the world by buying acres of rainforest. Currently, Buy an Acre funds are helping land purchase in Mexico to protect and save ancient forest habitat for wildlife that are vulnerable.

Animal Protection

Did you know that 150-200 species become extinct every 24 hours? The animals that we share this planet with are in serious danger. Purchases of these products support the work of WWF-Australia and Regenerate Australia – their vital recovery and regeneration program launched through four key projects following the 19/20 devastating bushfires, including Koalas Forever which is aimed at doubling the number of koalas on Australia’s east coast by 2050.
