These "wheat stems" or straws are the natural bi-product of wheat grain production. The dry stems are all that is left over from the harvested wheat husks - these make the perfect compostable straw!
Each straw is collected, cleaned and steamed at a high temperature. They are then packed and ready for use.
These not only eliminate plastic straws from the environment, they are also fully compostable and can be returned to the earth from where they came. Unlike other plastic free alternatives like paper, these are also guaranteed not to go soggy in your drinks!
